Sterling silver is such an amazing medium. It's strong but is easy to hammer, etch, texture, roll, and torch and still be shined back up to brilliant! Lately I've been working with Argentium silver, which is stronger and is very tarnish resistant.
This bracelet was made from 22g sterling silver sheet. The squares are 7/8" wide by 1 1/8" long. After cutting them and smoothing edges I hammered them in different stamps. Next I hand torched them one at a time. It is amazing how the colors come out when you torch and then dip in cold water. I cannot duplicate them exactly - it's just impossible - but I try to match them as close as possible. Next I seal them with a spray sealer and let dry.
The pieces are assembled with 8mm sterling silver jump rings. The clasp is a hook and eye clasp. The finished piece measures 5.5" long and fits a 5" wrist.
All bracelets are finished with a paste wax sealer or a spray sealer to help prevent tarnish. An anti-tarnish pad comes with each piece and should be kept with the bracelet to also help prevent tarnish. To clean, use a jewelry cloth or liquid jewelry cleaner.
