I love working with brass. It is much harder than copper or silver, but turns out so nicely once it is formed.
This ring tapers from 7/8" to 1/2" wide. The pattern was etched on and then a patina was applied to accentuate the texture. Holes were punched out and then one of the small circles was soldered back on for addtional interest. This ring is very similar to "Holey 1" but is slightly smaller. The ring fits a size 5.
All my rings are sealed with either paste wax or a spray sealer. This should help to not tarnish quickly. If it does tarnish, just polish with a good jewelry polishing cloth. A small anti-tarnish pad comes with the piece and should be kept with it. I always suggest removing rings before washing hands or working in any kind of liquids.
