I am a firm believer in using up old scraps of metal and that is how I ended up with a mismatched pair of earrings. But I love them!
These brass earrings were cut 7/8" wide and 1 1/4" long from 22g brass sheet. They were run through the rolling mill using 2 patterns, and then cut and shaped by bending slightly. A patina was applied to enhance the textures.
The earring hangs 1 3/4" to the top of the handmade earwire which is 20g sterling silver wire.
All of my earrings are sealed with either a paste wax or a spray sealer. If they do tarnish, just polish with a jewelry polishing cloth. Each piece comes with an anti-tarnish pad which should be kept with the earrings.
