This was such a fun earring to make.  A piece of 22g sterling silver sheet was cut 1" wide at one end and 3/4" wide at the other end.  The piece is folded lengthwise around a very small wooden dowel and then put into a vise.  The dowel is removed and the top is hammered flat.  Two other hammers were used to give each piece a unique texture on top.  Then end piece ends up 3/4" wide and tapers to 1/2" wide.  A patina was applied to darken and accentuate the marks.

Three strands of sterling silver chain were used to attach it to a 6mm jump ring and a 20g handmade sterling silver earwire.

The earring hangs 2 3/4" to the top of the earwire.  There is a matching necklace called "Table Talk 2" under Silver Necklaces.  They make a nice set.

  • Sterling silver may tarnish if not stored properly.  An anti-tarnish pad is included with these earrings and should be stored with them when not being worn.  A good jewelry polishing cloth should remove any tarnish if it appears.
